About Vitagora
Created in 2005, Vitagora is a European agrifood innovation cluster, based in the French regions of Burgundy-Franche-Comté and the Paris region, uniting a membership of agri-food businesses with public or private knowledge providers and developers of innovative solutions. It provides its 650 members with a range of tools and services helping to enrich and accelerate their agile innovation processes and to attain their development goals, including public-private partnerships within ambitious, results-driven R&D projects.
These dynamic partnerships draw on the cluster’s ecosystem of professionals – food and health businesses, public and private research, higher education establishments. These diverse members work together to develop a food product and service offer that meets consumer demand for wellness – wellness through eating pleasure, wellness through physical health, but also wellness through a link to our environment, protected by sustainable industry practices.
In 2017, Vitagora initiated its agrifood acceleration program, ToasterLAB, dedicated to supporting innovative agrifood start-ups and scale-ups, to allow great ideas to become real world business success stories. To date, more than 60 companies have been accelerated by ToasterLAB.

About Foodtech Dijon Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
Based in Burgundy-Franche-Comté, a region where gastronomy meets food innovation, Foodtech Bourgogne-Franche-Comté is a bringing together the rising stars of agrifood innovation with a diverse and multi-sector business ecosystem (agrifood and agriculture, digital, new technologies etc.), as well as entrepreneurship and innovation support services.
Lead by Vitagora, the goal of this network is to create a leading European ecosystem for the development of tormorrow's foodtech talents and visionaries:
- Outreach to identify and encourage high potential innovators and entrepreneurs
- Provide acceleration support for agrifood start-ups
- Strengthen and promote the talents, innovations and business success stories of its region

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) together with its thematic pan-European Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs), among which EIT Food is part of, have initiated the Cross-KIC NEB, which aims at supporting the New European initiative through a variety of activities: Business acceleration, Education, Citizen Engagement.
